Purion display fails

Purion display goes out while cycling.
First the trip counter goes to zero and later the whole display goes out.
Suddenly the display comes on again with the correct trip distance but after a few kms the same again.
Could this be due to the battery in the display?

Don't know, but I've got an almost new unmarked one, if you need to replace it.

Possibly, but id have thought the power would be getting supplied by the main battery when its switched on and running. What about a loose connector ? Have you had a wee fiddle witht he leads ?, push on everything see if it clears up.

hy,

when the display is off, the motor still gives some assistance.
It could also be that the speed chip is broken.
