I executed a bonehead maneuver during my first ever rear hub bearing replacement. I managed to clamp the axle in the bearing press, which generated a very small bulge on one end of the axle. I filed/sanded it down enough to slide the bearing on, but I want to replace it. An online search did not result in any promising leads.
I called the Roval customer support number. A guy from Specialized answered. After some Q and A, he directed me to DT Swiss. I called their USA phone number. More Q and A followed, culminating with "What is the serial number of your hub? It's located on the drive side." "My hub does not have a serial number. Here are pictures of the drive side."
Finally, the DT Swiss guy said "Email me your address and I'll send you an axle. No charge."
It arrived today. I'm a happy camper! ?
