Can someone advise what is the procedure for using contact cleaner after a spin when cleaning the bike?
Do you spray both battery contacts once removed and contacts in the frame?
Leave to dry naturally or wipe off?

Personally I would recommend that you put the lid back on, stick the tin in a cupboard and totally forget that you ever bought it 👍
What you could do is to put a bit of dialectic grease on the terminals.
Some people feel happy doing that although the terminals don't seem to cause many problems that I know of.

I don't use anything at all. The battery on my first bike was not designed to come out of the frame by the user. My second bike does have a removable battery and apart from the first time I brought it home from the shop, it probably gets removed no more than once per year. But that is just to see if there is any muck in there, not to do anything with the contacts. I just leave those alone.

spray the male part of the connector and allow to evaporate on its own. Contact cleaner removes oxidation ( it is not a general purpose cleaner for dust and mud etc) from the metal and helps to protect it from further oxidation. If the contacts need cleaning use something like isoproply on an ear bud first to wipe the contacts ,then spray with contact cleaner.
