Preparing a 2017 FSR Levo for UK Winter Mud!

so I bought my first e-bike, a 2017 Spesh Levo Expert a month ago, absolutely loving it, but I don't think the standard 3.0 Purgatories are going to cut it once the rain comes.

So, in preparation, I could fit a more UK Mud-suitable tyre - such as a Spesh Hillbilly 2.6 - but I'm slightly worried that this will lower my BB even further, with associated increase in pedal strikes. Also, I'm wondering it the 38mm internal width Roval Traverse 650b is wider than optimal for a 2.6 tyre?

Of course I could fit shorter Miranda cranks - I think the 2017 standard is 175 (2018 - 165), so going to 152 could solve the problem, but I'm keen to know if any 2017/2018 owners have gone 29er, either front only, or F & R, and what tyres they've fitted

If I were to buy a 29er Boost wheel set, do I need to buy e-bike specific? Or will any 29er wheel set with internal width of 29 - 30mm do?

thanks!!

I run 2.6 hillbillys on 30mm e thirteen rims, the spesh wheels I found too flexy both the 38mm and the 29mm rovals. I dont know much about wheel building but to me fitting a wheelset with 24/28 spoke count is not a good idea on a 21kg bike especially when you stick a 107kg rider on as well so I went for a set of 27.5 x 30mm e thirteens with novatec hubs and a 32 spoke count. I run 152mm cranks and so far no pedal strikes and some of the trails I ride are very tight and twisty with lots of big roots.
I also have a set of 29ers 30mm rims with 2.5 Maxxis shortys but at the moment I am preferring the hillbillys
hope that helps
