So here is my solution that works perfectly every time to get the pesky things off!

I hear you but I'm into my innovative method. The rest of my bikes have shimano so all the rest are pins. I have had a wipperman chain before. Now that's a true powerlink! No tools needed and never falls off. Easy trail-side repairs (as opposed to powerlinks). German engineering at it's finest.
