Silly question maybe .. but... can I use a standard camping hook up to charge bike ?
typically camp sites offer 6, 10 or 16amp hook ups. A lot in Europe only provide 5amp hook ups. So it depends how many devices and of which type you will be wanting to run and what devices you will be wanting to run at the same time.
I run a fridge all the time, phone etc chargers a lot of the time and lights come evening so I try to get the 16 amp or at least the 10 amp.

I'll be getting a small honda genset. Its just nice to have. I have a couple rv batteries in my camper(no solar in this unit yet) that my truck charges as i drive. The bike would drain those to quick when im camped. Non plug in sites would pay off a small genset in a year for me. Winter im never at a campsite and maybe only half the time in the summer. Even if i had solar, a genset gives a nice degree of flexibility. The honda generators are really well built. We used to abuse one in -40+ c temps when we were replacing guardrail on the highway. Occasionzlly it'd fall out of the truck. It always started first pull even when it dipped to -60 with a windchill.
