Just thought I’d share my bike build. I took it out for a quick shake down on Memorial Day after finishing the build.
It started out as a carbon comp, which I got on sale for $6,750 (cheaper than an S works frame, but it’s the same).
- Fox 38 factory e-bike version 170mm
- Rockshox 2023 super deluxe ultimate coil with HBO (230x65 to match the Cascade long link)
- MRP premium spring
- We Are One Triad with DT Swiss 240 hubs 28/32. Sapim spokes
- Assegai 2.6 front, DHR 2.6 rear
- Tannus foam inserts with tubes
- Cascade long link (165mm travel)
- BB set to low
- Sram eagle xx transmission
- Praxis carbon cranks 160mm
- One Up carbon bars
- Enve M7 stem 50mm
- HT ME03 evo+ pedals
- Fox XL front mudguard
- Invisiframe wrap
- Kept the stock saddle, dropper, grips, and brakes
Total cost $12.8k, which is about the same as an S Works. I like tinkering, plus I was able to support some companies I like, and choose a bike that suits my preferences.
Also, I have enough spare parts to build most of another bike…
