I am on a road trip with my family from California to Montana and was able to get a good ride in when I was in the Saint George, Utah area. Ended up doing just about 19 miles. It was only 1,300 feet of elevation climbing so fairly flat. Probably some of my favorite cross country riding that I have done.

Corkin day out at Whinlatter Trail Centre today with@Alan Walkea @timberjack &@Tonybro ..unfortunately Wayne had been fighting manflu all week and was feeling decidedly tom-dick this morning so didn't make it .
Alan & Tony were running a little bit late so Ant & myself did the extended blue to warm up which was a good move as they were just about set up when we got back to the car park
.2xNorth loops ,1 x South loop ( but the excellent red downhill after the black was done twice) then another loop of the blue to finish ..
Tony's stats were 22.2 miles with 3,300ft ascent ..so a canny little trundle .
Great to ride with these blokes again and the only thing which spoilt the day was Tony's OTB on a drop-off which he always clears ..but he forgot to drop his seatpost and the saddle hit him in the back and tipped him over ..upon inspection back at the car a nasty graze the length of his forearm and damage to his rotator cuff ...
Hope it heals quickly & well .
Not too many pics as the fun element was high and who wants to stop when you are chasing the back wheel of a mate down a fast section 😁..
Although Tony had his Go-pro so some sneaky footage will turn up in due course😜.
Thanks again lads ...it wer super-smashing- lovely 😍
Ant ..( taken at the end of the black loop..which I dodged in favour of a choccie bar & Lucozade sport drink 😉)

Just a short ride today. The nice autumn days of just 2 weeks ago have as predicted expired and it was a fresh 2‐3°C with a bit of mist. Almost wished I had the winter gloves on instead of the dirtpaws, particularly on the way to the woods along the lake.

Was determined however to try out the new fork fitted this week. As expected, it was the difference between night and day compared to the stock Suntour NVX, so the blood, sweat, and tears (2 literally and the 3rd almost) were worth it.

It was also nice to explore somewhere new, even if relatively short.

Where ever
Out on the back roads and south down way again this morning. 24 miles and just shy of 2000ft elevation. The black boy pub is one we went in a couple of days ago. It was closed this morning……but it was just gone 9am. 😂Mad pub full of memorabilia etc. Old viaduct called Hockley railway viaduct. And as it seems to be autumn leaves photo time. 👍

Too overgrown in summer this route even today the gears got all choaked up with bracken. There's an easy way and hard way to do a mile of this trail so I did both. Definitely getting too old for the hike a bike bit and I walked over quite a few technical bits. The drop would be sore if I went over the edge.
