Not many people at Tarland to be honest but midweek and i heard some people still have to work bless them . I don't do many bike parks so a totally different type of riding for me I found it a tiring 20 miles . Did roughly the same distance today but a hill ride im still tired though , must be the drive home . Went up the Firmouth track today and back down on the Fungle to same area i left from. I would have like to carry on down to Tarfside / Glen Esk area but i wouldn't have had enough juice , roll on 1000wh batteries. Met a Canadian couple on Gravel bikes all loaded up on my way back down they're probably still pushing up the Fungle . Met a few locals yesterday right enough but most folk i spoke to were up from England and doing a tour of some of the MTB areas . As the saying goes Haste ye back we lo you dearly. Probably the last of the decent weather it was a lot cooler up a height . Details on app for two rides not much difference really considering they were totally different.

Was exploring today and stumbled upon a really nice and long rock garden which I wasn't expecting ... this was unfortunate as excitement took over and I forgot I'd not really tightened my phone in the mount .... The Lyric just wasn't upto the task of phone preservation ...

Many thanks to Dave ( @JFDI )for leading the ride and showing us stuff that would otherwise be hidden in plain sight ..also Louise, Steve ( @Tubby G ),Wayne ( @The EMF ) @Tonybro & the birthday boy @Richywalker64 ..who didn't let on until the very end back at The Dales Bike Centre in Fremington ..a great group to go riding with ..

Love the map what is it . I have memory map 1:50,000 for hillwalking. Soon be Xmas always getting asked what I want

Love the map what is it . I have memory map 1:50,000 for hillwalking. Soon be Xmas always getting asked what I want a more detailed map system would be good.

It's what used to be known as Viewranger..( which was better) ..but got taken over by Outdoor-active ..
Premium membership is £20ish for the year with full UK O.S. mapping and the ability to track your rides as well as other in app features..

Ok spot on. That would have 1: 25,000 as well probably will check it out. Going out with Drummond the morn he may have that one.
