Does it make sense to trust the power meter output of pedals to read rider output on emtbs?
My understanding is that pedal based power meters depend on both the torque applied and the cadence.
Cadence will be very different if it is assisted by a motor.
Seems to me that only the engine can really read the correct rider input.
So do pedal power meters make sense?
