Question for the owners off the AllMtn 5.0 about the white layer of paint.
At my bike the layer is so thick, you can feel that at the edge with blue, that they had to place a .5 mm spacer below the conical ring of the head set to give the fork clearance, on the upper side there are 3 .3mm spacers added for the same reason.
The lower spacer is from cheap material, it was rusting after within 100 km, and it's 2 mm to wide in diameter.
The contact surfaces of the conical ring and fork were already damaged by a screwdriver or the like.
I was constantly readjusting the headset, until i decided to take it apart and have a look.
My question now is, was my bike repainted or is this white layer really that thick.
