Levo Gen 2 Paint flaking/chipping on alu rear triangle

Seems like the rear triangle (alu) of my 2019 Carbon comp chips/flakes like crazy. It's wrapped in invisframe, but the 1 part that isn't is nearly down to the aluminium after 1y light use. None of my other bikes have this issue and are ridden in the same terrain.

Did I get a badly painted rear triangle or is this par for the course ?

My 2019 alloy triangle is black. It has about the same amount of bare metal showing, but less top coat flaking. No wrap on mine. It may be that the red paint is a bit more fragile. That spot really gets hammered!

Is it a comp carbon or a comp (Alu)? Either way if you bought new you should have a 2 yr warranty on paint and decals so I woul dget it back to your dealer to get them to have a look at it.

I have invisiframe but thinking mudguards may be needed also. @kntr which size guards have you fitted out of interest? and how are they working out?

I have about 500 miles on the Levo and they work awesome. The Front and Rear fenders are Rapid Racing Products FRONT. I did add the lower Sicomtb piece on the rear. The downtube protection is a rear Mug Hugger cut to fit. Ive done this same setup on 3 bikes and they look new when I resell. I ride them hard too.

Thanks for the info, I thought it looked like a front on the rear also. They do three sizes do you remember which one it is? Mini, Standard or Max Protection?

I'll ask the dealer (don't expect much there), but the red paint (on alu) seams to really flake, just saw a large patch on the chainstay that wasn't there a month ago.

I'll get my spare invisiframe out an wrap the remaining bare spots.

Max on the front and rear. It limits tire size on the rear to 29x2.5 or 27.5x3.0.

I also added a piece of velcro to stop rocks and mud from going in the link. I don't really need it since the fenders work but just in case.

Thanks for the details, I'll take a look at them as it looks like a good set up. I'm still running the stock 29x2.3 tyres but should be ok even if I go a little larger in the Winter?
