As the title suggests what do you guys/girls carry onboard in the rucksack. having only been out on one ride (due to a car accident) i'm wondering how much everyone takes out. Pump ,innertubes, multitool, mini rachet ect ect you get the picture.

Typically I carry pump, shock pump, 2x tubes, puncture patches, multitool, first aid kit, snacks, carb gels, spare mech hanger. My camelback seems to always have a fiver in the top pocket, no idea how they get there, maybe it's where fivers come from. With Apple pay I tend not to carry a card, otherwise I just ride with a mate who owes me lunch :)

Ahhh the age old question!!

Whatever size you have you'll fill it :)

I run tubeless so this is just me: Spare inner tube (If you have a 27.5 you can use a 29..it doesn't matter to get you home), CO2 gun and two cannisters, pump, Multi tool, Valve Core remover, spare valve core, Tyre Levers, about 10 zip ties (super useful), some gaffer tape, a foldaway rain jacket in case of a sudden downpour!, Some loo roll or kitchen roll (for sealant mess or for a skin cut), sidewall repair (for sidewall rips, again enough to get you home), and 2 mechanics inspection gloves to stop crap getting all over your hands. Some snacks, I go to Lidl and buy Haribo multipacks, these fit into anywhere and are a great sugar hit. You can buy expensive gels etc but essentially you're after glucose or sugar and Haribo is glucose which is better for a quick hit.. :) Get Gel's if you get cramps as they have 'electrolytes' but that's just salt...!! I've also got a spare Mech Hanger for my Levo (usually only about 12 quid or so but bend badly that and you won't get home easily..!!) I've also got various plasters. All that fits in an Evoc Hip Pack:)

I'd have a tick remover in your car as those buggers can give you Lymes disease which is super nasty.

You can use a valve core off an old inner tube if you have one, if you've been riding a while you'll have plenty..

That's enough to get you home..I'm sure a few others have some gems they pack.. :)

Hehe, yeah not the first time THAT question has been asked.

Here goes, my pretty permanent "backpack kit":
  • Osprey backpack with hydration bladder.
  • tubeless plugg kit with extra strips
  • tube
  • multitool w/chain breaker
  • mini pump
  • tyre pressur gauge
  • small first aid kit w/ liquid plaster + tweezers
  • knife
  • lighter with generous wrap of gorilla tape
  • zip ties
  • Piece of string
  • spare chain links + quicklink
  • valve cores
  • small led front + rear light
  • Extra button batteries for lights
  • Packed "space" foil blanket
  • Lightweight "coffee brake" lock
  • spare gear wire
  • small bottle of extra tubeless sealant
  • some nutrition bars / gels
  • couple of Wet wipes and some napkins
  • Park tool tyre boot pad for side wall gashes to hold in tube.

Pretty much as above with hydrogen peroxide for trail side repairs and unlike all the clowns above, a bit of civility. Supermarket roast chicken, some cheese. 250ml red wine. 250ml champagne. 100ml decent cognac for aided digestion afterwards.

Basically you have to consider the important things, when you're sitting there repairing your tyre or stitching yourself up, no one feels sorry for you as you're stuffing your face accompanied with the appropriate drink..
