I splurged out on a copper XX1 cassette for the Moterra. Went to fit it today and the spline is different, so won’t fit.

do I need to buy a new driver?
if so what one?

So am I right in thinking I take the NX driver off and replace it with XD driver? Would any of brands that make them fit? ie DT Swiss, Hope.

You'll need to match the current hub brand/type for a new driver. Google the hub you have and you'll find what you can fit. ie: Hope hub needs a Hope driver. And different models have different drivers sometimes. You can't change the driver on all hubs. Some are what they are.

Shimano freehub is often secured with a nut on the drive side of the axle. Remove that and the freehub should slide off.
