Hello,

normally when we travel outside Denmark, we go to Nove Mesto Pod Smrkem.
This place fits our purpose very well....lots of flowy trails and nice people.
Not that far away from home.

Now we're planning to try something new....might be France.
We've been looking at Vosges area.

We know that people in France is kind of silly....but that dosen't scare us !

We're skilled, with good fitness and a friendly attitude.
We're not looking for allmost horisontal uphill/downhill, but with some good flowy trails in nice surroundings.

Is Vosges area good for us, or is there something better suited in the NorthEast area ?

Trip is planned to be in august (week 32/33/34) and we travel/live in our camper van.

Please advise :)

I've spent time in the Vosage area on motorbikes (road) and it's lovely. No doubt there must be some good trails in the area.

Close buy (probably closer to you) is the black forest though, again only been on the motorbikes but it must be mega on a mtb. Its a stunning place with great people and scenery! It's somewhere i've looked into going as for us in the SE of England and near the euro tunnel isn't actually that far for us....

I've only hiked in the Vosges. Loved it.

Take a look on www.wikiloc.com for route suggestions. There are also a dozen or two routes on www.komoot.com which are worth a look at. (Never had much luck with Komoot. Down here in the Iberian Peninsula wikiloc.com is the go-to source).

North West I can help/guide whatever .. North East is a long way away :)

Well...you now have several weeks to explore NorthEast...what a challenge !
:)

I know a guy, that owns a company in Ploeren, France.
That should be north-east....
It's Jean-Philippe Krischer, owner of Seagull, who makes Landyachts.
