I recently bought a 2nd hand bike but the bontrager 54t Rapid Drive free hub sounds like a biscuit tin full of angry wasps. No way do I want this awful noise in the countryside. If I wanted the sound of a fishing reel everywhere I go I’d take up angling instead of cycling.
What’s the solution? New rear wheel? Should I buy them as a front and rear set together?
