Hi everyone, Derek here from rainy Ireland (y)
I ride bicycles for years, from XC, trail to enduro now, but I'm get into the age that I started get tired pedling up the hill, so started less and less taking my bike out . I still twice a month enjoy riding in bike parks because there is up lift service;)
While ago I started seriously think about buying some enduro emtb, but still can't decide. From what I've heard there is a lot of problems with batteries or engines. Also I'm bit afraid carbon frames, probably I've seen too many crashes on youtube when people destoyed their carbon bikes. How good is carbon frame, and how good the're on impact/crashes? Maybe better stick to alu frames???
I've been look around, and I found that probably I'll buy some direct sale bike, because they're bit cheapper and have better components. Most people reccomended Shimano motor so I've been have looking at: Canyon Spectral On, Vitus E-Sommet VR, YT Decoy, or something else, what would you recommend me??? My budget is around 5k euro. I'm looking for a bike that not only I can take it to my local trails, but also to bike park.

A few points:
1: Just do it!
2: Problems seem to be more visible online. I am not saying they don't exist but everyone I know have had zero e-related problems.
3: For 5k direct, those are the bikes. I like the look of the YT on paper and pictures. (Maybe thok or fantic).
