I haven't mountain biked regularly since 2007. I tried an EMTB and loved the ability to cover large amounts of ground with as much or little exercise as I want at the time. I will be commuting (when it is not too cold) to and from work as well as riding for fun mainly on fire roads and trails. Not very technical riding as my skill level is basic.
I just bought a Kellys Theos F100 (normally way out of my price range but on a significant discount at the end of 2024).
Looking to learn more about the maintenance side of things as well and just picked up the Park Tool Big Blue Book so I can actually learn a bit. I am buying some extra parts (extra chain), basic tools (shock pump, chain cleaner, multitool, etc.), and some consumables (chain lube, hydraulic brake fluid, etc.).
Looking forward to driving less and getting a bit more exercise. At my age (44) I need it.
