New Specialized piston spreader….

Hi, just saw these pics on PinkBike (Tech Randoms: Maribor Downhill World Cup 2021 - Pinkbike and all rights Andy Vathis and Pink Bike). This red thing is a (?prototype) piston spreader from Specialized spotted in the Maribor UCI DH pits this week.
I’m useless at spreading calliper pistons evenly - been trying for years and I think I know most tricks.
What do you all use?

HaHa! Yes, I have one of those too ? Its wedge shaped and doesn’t damage the edges of the calliper. But it’s not ‘even’ and so sometimes it’s still a phaff. I have another, also wood, that’s like a calliper block, but that’s never the right size when a piston is stuck.
I better add that I only really cock it up with SRAM callipers, but lets not make this a Code/Guide slanging match ???
