Hey all, I'll admit Im a Newb to a lot of biking and e-biking...... So I'm from south Alberta Canada.
my first e-bike I bought late 2018 was a Rocky Growler powerplay 30, that I bought for doing some trail riding and commuting to work while I could not drive (epilepsy sucks) which was recently stolen so I won't be riding for a while due to that and an ankle injury from work...... so Figured before I buy my next bike I could ask questions and learn a bit more from people who can explain stuff to me like the newb I am.

also a guitar and bass player who loves metal!

hey Jackson-Lewis - welcome to the emtb forum - I have noticed a couple of other emtb riders from Southern Alberta on this site including myself - crappy to hear somebody lifted your bike, it seems there have been some pretty brazen incidents in the Calgary area - and with the local bike shops with so little stock with the run on bikes during these times finding a deal on a new e-bike must be challenging, lots of good info on the threads on this forum - after years of mtn biking I bought my first e-mtn bike (Turbo-Levo) last December and can't stay off it - even during our nasty winters there is something about the e-assist that gets you out on windy, cold days when normally I had long packed the bike away for the season - I love following our "across the pond" members with the Brits and Europe in general seeming to be so far ahead of us with positive attitudes about e-biking - but we really do have a biking paradise in southern Alberta - all the best in your future biking adventures

oh for sure The help is nice in snow and bad conditions where it keeps me commuting even in the cold.

and yeah rabid bike buying means shops are dry.... but I decided to use that and my time with my injury with the insurance money to save for a higher end bike (thinking of RM again but not sure on model) so just gonna save and wait on the 2021 stuff.
