Just found you guys. I'm a new ebiker riding a Specialized Carbon Comp LEVO. Just had it a couple months. Big time game changer for me. I'm 60 and ride with guys younger than me, so this bike lets me "keep up" with them on those long never ending climbs. Plan on getting the wife an ebike this year so she can ride with me next. Best investment I've ever made.

Me too! I’m new here and to e-MTB and 63 and back out on the trails after 5 years. Reliving those trails from younger days out with my lad who in later years burnt me on everything ?

Big shout out to Rob (this is his forum) who’s YouTube channel persuaded me to by an e-Bike.

My 2020 Levo has shared 150 miles of Pennine Grit with me. Gisburn 8, the big Ladybower/Edale/Derwent loop, twice round Sherwood Pines (done that twice now) and the Metham loop are all in there.

Going up hill is such a scream now! Going down is not quite as nimble as a hard tail, obviously, stunned to discover its better than my old ‘original’ Zesty with its fox coiler fork.

The battery still had three bars after 45km round Edale with 3,100 ft up and I’m NOT fit (it has to 700Ah).

So, yes, here’s to newby 60-somethings like me getting out on e-MTBs ???

I was to the point where even my wife thought my biking with my buddies was about over. I wasn't enjoying it anymore. All I did was "chase" them, not ride with them. And then they would have to stop and wait for me at the top of every climb.

Now... I'm in the group as we ride, talking and having fun with them, instead of being way behind everyone else. We show up at the top of the hills the same time they do. It was a game changer for me and has made biking with my buddies a blast again. Even my wife says it was the best thing I've purchased in years.
