Been a mountain bike rider for years, but finally took the plung into e mountain biking.
I took my time in selecting and test riding some bikes available locally and in my price range.

To me the Trek rail 5, Focus Jam and Merida Eone sixty felt heavy and sluggish.
But found the Giant reign and Eone forty much better and easier to ride.

Eventually settled with the Merida eone forty 500 due to price and now starting to really enjoy the bike after some modification. Glad to have found this forum to help me with this journey into EMTB.

G'day Flying RV, I had a Merida for 3 years now and apart from having to put a new motor in it, it's been the best toy I've ever owned. Where abouts in Oz are you. Welcome along and enjoy your riding.

Ok I'm up in the Glasshouse Mts just north of Brissy and ride around here locally, up to Parklands and Tewantin, get down to Samford occasionally too. Got a bit on at the moment but let us know if your keen to ride sometime as always great to ride with someone new and show them around or to be shown somewhere new to ride.
