The first tip for the EP8 motor is to make sure that you have used the Shimano ETUBE app on your mobile to tune the motor. There is a lot of things that can be done that make a significant difference. I believe that the motor does not arrive with a standard setting. I have changed a rider's impression of his EP8 from Woe! to Wow! in less than five minutes.
