If I would be buying 7500€ full 29" trail bike with new Bosch, this would be it. Nice geo, 800 battery, no real weakness' on specs, swap tires to Conti's and that would be it. CRAFTY CARBON R

Agreed, Mondraker did a great job on this, personally I'd like a bike with a bit more travel, but this one has no dealbreakers: the battery is removable, the weight is fine, the builds are ok for the money, cables go into the frame.

The red color is really great.

Good that you can have a bigger fork on some config but two points for me that could have been really better: 150mm travel is a bit low and no mullet makes it a no go for me.

I don't care how many guards/shields they put on that rear shock, it would not last a winter of riding here. I just cannot understand the logic of sticking the shock there (They are not the only manufacturer guilty of it). Yes it looks tidy and gives more space in the front triangle, but suspension design is so good these days that any advantage of this placement would need to be massive compared to other placements to even contemplate such a position! Seems a bit like headset routing to me. More for looks than practicality. I'm out!

It keeps the weight down...and looks good :D. What comes to dirt, it's not so bad. I have a VPP and because of that small mudflap the shock stays mostly clean. It's just trickier to clean because of all links and stuff but with smaller brush that's not a problem.

I've always liked Mondrakers looks but they really didn't have suitable bikes for me, mainly because of older Bosch and I don't know why they had to put that shit Kiox to all they bikes. But this one is something else. There's clever bits like space for two water bottles/water bottle and range extender/tool. And for the pervets it's possible to route cables through headset :p And there's no space for display on toptube and you can even eliminate the display on bar. Nice. R model colours are bit dull, but maybe I could live with them :)
