Hi Anyone had issues with the seal/ bush falling out of the new gen 5 CX motor?

They are fixed in with the new two bolt system and no body even seems to know the correct torque for T40 bolts.

I don't have that problem, but it seems to me that the axle squeaks when pedaling, on cx5. I have to change the pedal to try. but it seems to me that it is the engine

Got to be honest the new generation 5 CX motor seems absolutely silent on my bike especially compared to my previous bike with a SX motor.
I suspect there must be an issue with yours?

maybe it's the pedal, I have to try it. although my frame creaked from day one. Orbea forgot to put all the parts at the seatstay and chain stay junction at the UDH hanger.

Mines a cube and I have to say the build quality seems awful on a lot of the new emtb ranges!
I still can’t see how a seal can just drop out after 100 miles on a brand new bike

definitely the quality of the product is bad. so far I'm disappointed in the big manufacturers. Turbo levo problem from the first day, I sold it. Orbea Wild 2025 problem from the first day, the gen 5 engine is not as smart, it feels weaker. I'm still thinking about what to do with Orbea.

I have no experience with Orbea I am afraid but definitely don’t swap it for a cube if you want better quality or customer service 😂

They changed the design of that bushing, you have an early one. Call your dealer and get the new bushing and problem solved.
Ok cool thanks will message them is it just a dust seal and is it necessary to take the bolt out to replace?

Check my answer to same issue in the Vala thread: Santa Cruz Vala
Thanks that’s exactly my issues! I wonder if they were never pushed in fully from the factory? I’ve just refitted my old one for now but will try and get some new ones asap.
Funny though I finished my ride without the bush and it was silent with no issues at all for 20 miles. Makes me wonder if it is more of a dust seal than a structural mount?

What did you torque the bolts up to?

I’ve had four cubes from the Bosch CX Gen 1. Had Gen 2 and 4 and now got a new Gen 5 One44 all Cubes. Still got a seven year old Cube with Gen 2 CX and it’s been no trouble at all. Most of the components are not Cube anyway apart from the frame, it’s got Bosch motor, XT Drivetrain, Fox suspension etc..etc. What’s bad quality?

They are crap quality just read the cube Facebook groups!

I bought a light weight hybrid one last year the headset failed, dropper failed, wheel hub was faulty, charging cover fell off and then the paint peeled off around shock mount! Cube customer care Uk were that bad I returned the bike and exchanged for a different model with the online store.

I love the new bike but already at 3 weeks old the sram shifter was draining and the battery going flat overnight and now the motor mount has fallen out 🤦

I get emtb are more complicated but never has this much grief in 35 years of riding! I’ve only managed about 400 miles on both bikes combined.

I get a lot of that is component related but still not great! On top of that whilst replacing the dropper I found 2 random torx screw rattling around loose in the frame!
