New body parts (Hip ...)

Just wondering if any of you guys have had a hip replacement, have just been told I need one to keep me upright lol. How did you get on after the op, how long with getting back on the bike? I'm just worried about how long it will take, can't be off the bike for to long it would drive me bananas.
