After sitting in customs for a month, my Amflow finally arrived in Colorado, USA literally just as I was heading out to the bike park on my Levo. Waited till this evening to put it together. It didn’t have the wheels, those will be here Monday, but it did have the brake discs and sensor disc in the box.

Once I figured out how to change the language on the bike with Google Translate, I got it charging and updated. It was dark and chilly so I only did a quick neighborhood lap, but HOLY FORKING SHIRTBALLS.

It definitely feels like it’s in its own category. I have bikes with Shimano, Bosch, Brose, and TQ motors in the garage and this legitimately felt scary fast in Turbo/boost.

This bike weighs 47 lbs (21.32 kg) in its current form (some of that is the Cush core eMTB in my wheels).

I have an outrageous build coming for it. Since it’s replacing both my Levo and my Fuel EXe, I am splurging on components with full GX Transmission drivetrain, Maven brakes, Reverb AXS dropper, Ohlins front and rear, Schwalbe radials, OneUp carbon bar, Peatys monarch grips, I9 stem, Pinnd cranks, and Outlier pendulum pedals. I have a set of NOBL wheels with I9 hubs and Berd spokes on order but it’s going to be a good while before those arrive.

I figure if you’re gonna go for hype why not go for alllllll the hype? 😂

First things first: this is going right to RideWrap in Golden CO for paint protection film.

Color scheme is going to be silver and hot pink. Will update this thread with pics as I upgrade.

Haven’t tried AXS dropper yet, just looking to clean up the cockpit, may end up dropping back to my current favorite, the OneUp v3.

I have about 1500 miles on these brakes now and even though they have been a PITA to maintain, (bleeding Mavens sucks) I am addicted to the power and modulation. I haven’t tried anything that comes close and as a heavier rider (220 lb/100 kilo) who rides a lot of park and steep tech, I can’t go back to lighter duty brakes.

As far as T-Type goes, I was wearing out chains and cassettes about twice as fast before I switched to Transmission. Something about these seem to hold up to the abuse of full power e-bikes better IME. I know it’s slower to shift but I’ll take the tradeoff.

I don’t have a problem at all with mechanical shifting and in some cases prefer it, but I have had my T-Type on my Levo for 1000 miles with essentially zero chain growth, and my last GX mechanical cassette and chain was completely spent after 800 miles.

The Berd spokes are another gamble but I want to see what they’re like in terms of taking some of the initial chatter out of technical trails.
