Spent the arvo fine tuning.

Moved the bars up, moved the brake levers in. Dropped the seat post a bees d.

Though a muckynutz front guard on.

Ended up putting on Giant DH flats on for the pedals.

Such a great spec bike straight out of the box. No upgrades required.

Very very nice. Am intrigued to hear your views on the motor, especially it's performance at high cadence.

Well, will work on the cadence answers hopefully this weekend.

However I think the motor is fairly quite. Well not as loud as the Bosch I tried on the Trek. About the same as the Shimano on the Merida.

Now, power, instantaneous. On the smallest crank movement. Kinda freaky at first if your standing / coasting and just change your front foot forward. But good if you have to do a half pedal / small pedal etc to clear a object right.

On start on an incline..as I said instantaneous. So lots of love there from me.

A lot like the Rocky Mountain I had a go of.

On pavement you definitely feel the change once you reach speed limit. However seemed smooth enough to come back in etc. However the tyres size is noticeable coming from a 29er running 2.35.

I liked the Yammy motor and was a purchasing point decision.

5 levels of assistance. Haven’t played with any of the settings but recon I will through the Giant ride app. Will tame down all assistance levels.

Looks like rain from Friday right through the weekend here where I live so hopefully I will get out onto some decent trails. Have a few close to home but nothing real chunky.

Interesting stuff, thanks. I wonder if you can reduce the speed of engagement in the app if you don't like it?

Will let you know once I do eventually hook up.

I can’t comment or compare to a Speciliazed as I have never ridden one. In the end it was too much upgrading on the lowest spec bike to get to what I wanted or way to much to purchase something at a comparable spec. Great hype for the product and no doubts the Levo and Kenevo are s good product. I’m sure that the Merida group will be happy that they are getting 49% of the profits of the Specialised sales.

Ok Matty

With the pending rain coming this weekend I took the bike for a zap around home.

Could not notice and difference in power with fast or slow cadence.

But power. God dam that yammy has some uphill poke. Even bucked me on one real rocky bolder section...my fault, to high a gear.being cheeky and testing limits. Was in eco most of the ride. Used the max power up one small pinch climb that goes for about 300 meters.

So I’m 120kg, 50 @ Christmas. 58 min ride. 167 meter elevation loss, 157 meter gain. Average moving speed 22km / hr. Maximum speed 44km/hr. Distance travelled 21.6 km. Battery % went from 97 to 74%.

Transition at 25 km/hr power off and power on is smooth as and hardly noticeable. Motor noice is quite really.

Hope this helps others.
