hey all, looking for some advice if possible -
My lbs has a whyte rs 180 and its really caught my eye- was looking to get a haibike nduro, but the feel and look of the whyte has me- especially with the fox suspension upgrades already as well.

Spec wise it seems amazing, has the gen 4 bosch and I believe a 600w battery?

What are they like?
I currently have a haibike with a yamaha pw, what differences will I notice to the gen 4?

I want to start going to bike parks/ trails on it ideally and not use the uplifts

This from someone who tried a Gen4 and just got a bike with Yamaha these the main differences ive noticed (in limited time).

The gen4 has slightly more initial power as if it wants to propel you like a rocket whereas personally ive found the Yamaha more smooth and more natural feeling.

When hitting top speed noticed it less on the yamaha but theres not a big difference between them on that.

The gen4 is slightly louder at lower pedalling speeds but they sound similar when your cranking hard.

The one big annoyance I found with the bosch is when freewheeling downhill you will get a noticeable knock from the motor, I only tried the bike over a couple days it was a Trek btw for reference. Seems its a common opinion among owners of bikes with the new motor. Not sure if whyte managed to alleviate that slightly with their different way of mounting the motor. Hopefully someone with one already will answer you.

As i said this is my personal opinion in limited time of owning an emtb but hope helps a bit. Either way the Whyte is a beauty I would defo get one! if i could of afforded it. Both motors are great and sure you would enjoy whatever you get.
