I'm aware that's why I'm asking can the internals be changed without the expense of an entire hub replacement? Not sure what you are talking about. The H30 comes with a cheap shimano hub or a Chinese equivalent due to supply chain issues. Both cheap hubs.
Thanks , I was trying to be proactive, Ill look into a rebuilt hub at a local wheel builderBy internals if you mean can the guts of another hub be swapped in I doubt it but I never use anything by Shimano. I built new carbon wheels with Spank hubs on mine. You can definitely swap the hub but it may require new spokes and a wheelbuilder to re-lace the wheel. Many threads do note a short life for the orginally supplied hubs.
Thanks , only three rides in...so hopefully I have some timeNo use being proactive. You might as well get as much life out of the current hub as you can. Then get it rebuilt.
Or learn to do it yourself. Wheelbuiding is very satisfying.
I just got my bike two weeks ago, 22 h30 new color..it has a Shimano FH-MT510-B rear hub... hopefully this is a little more durable since the supply issue has been mostly resolved. There was no way to know since it was a supply chain substitute to get the bikes out the door. Even the Shimano hub originally speced where cheap hubs. I built a new set of wheels with carbon rims and Spank Hex hubs before I got my bike.
