As the title says my Dad is going to be 80 in May. He used to be a pretty active bike rider then started having troubles riding up to the crest of the mountain. We don’t ride complex downhill runs but typically ride old fire, mining and lumbering dirt and gravel roads. I am looking to buy him a pretty powerful bike. I had him ride my new full suspension bike with Bafang motor but the bike was too heavy and he still wore out quickly on our last ride. His balance is still good though and I think a more powerful bike would put him back in the saddle again. I thought about a 2 motor/2 battery bike but then realized the bike weight was close to 100 lbs. My bike has a 1000watt motor that maxes at 1500 watts but that apparently isn't quite enough. Is there a reasonably decent 3000 watts setup out there?
