My new 1UP bike carrier came yesterday. What have users come up with to prevent water . . .

From soaking into the bottom battery socket and water potentially getting into the motor when I take the battery out while transporting and the bike gets drenched in the rain?

It's almost like the bike manufacturers should sell a dummy battery cover to enclose the open battery compartment when traveling to keep the electronics dry IMO.

With my last ebike I used what was effectively a section of yoga mat cut to size in order to wrap it around the down tube 2-3 times then secured in place with velcro straps. Worked a treat for me and pretty cheap.
