I got back into MTB riding a little less than a year age. A good friend of mine got me wanting in but I would only do it on a EMTB. well it has worked out great! at 53 years old and not in the best cardio shape it was the smartest thing I could have done to not turn me off from MTB riding.
2 mouths ago (do to a MTB crash) I had rotator cuff surgery. Well sitting at home with nothing to do but watch YouTube videos and on line shop I picked up a Niner RIP 9 RDO 29 a mounth ago. Figured I would ride it when I'm healed up. Thing is I think I might depend on the power from my EMTB to much. I haven't even rode the Niner yet. Even around the block lol. I think it will be great at bike parks and downhill trails were there is an up lift but I am a bit shy to try to ride it on a single track it the near buy mountains. the teck stuff and all seem a bit challenging without trail mode! My fitness will get better as I am a bike officer at a casino so when I get back to work I will work on that but still. EMTB's are so much fun and I hate to huff and puff! I like options but I may have gotten in over my head on this one lol. The Niner sure is pretty though!
