I did my first proper ride at the weekend around Christmas Common. Pretty muddy, but great fun. I covered around 20-25 miles I think. Probably around 5 of those were errors of map reading, but on an eMTB, I just didn't care!
The best bit was the capability of the bike. Not sure my 25 PSI tyres were the best for the conditions as they squirmed a bit in places, but that is more likely my ability.
The next best bit was the coffee and walnut cake I had in The Spire & Sprocket pub near the car park when I got back. A-MA-ZING!
Worst bit was trying to get the bike in the back of my Tesla. Jeez, it's a big bike.
