And I've just bought my first eMTB (an Orbea Urrun 30) as I'm no longer fit enough to enjoy the rides I used to do 20 years ago. Hoping I can relive the good old days around Manchester and the Peak District.

No reason why not - the MTB trails at Rivington/Winter Hill and the Peak District are all still there!

They are indeed. I've just been out with a couple of mates for my first proper ride on the new bike, from Reddish to Werneth Low park, 21 miles in all, I'm not as unfit as I thought but having a bit of help on the climbs made the ride a lot more enjoyable
