Where do people normally get these type of floor stands from please?

The ones on Amazon only seem to be for skinny tyres, I'd need 2.6 / 2.8 wide.

Thinking one would be great for when I put the bike in the back of the van too

Cheers

I was just thinking this exact thing a few days ago, for my van also. Had a quick look on wiggle but didnt see anything suitable either, and then forgot about it.

Figured if i got a stand and fixed it down, with the wheel off i could put the bike across the back doors standing up, so its not taking up the full length the other way. Might get around to making something up if cant find anything though.

I got two of these;
They are currently unavailable from Amazon but I think some other places do sell them.

I found another brand, XLC on Amazon UK if this is any help. One of the reviews (in German) says it fits 29 X 2.6 tyres so might be an option...

I have one of these, it holds my 29" x 2.6 wheels securely as long as it is on level ground and folds flat for transporting. Not so good on uneven ground.

I have both the XLC and the Wilworx stands. Wilworx is a US brand and rarely available in the UK for some reason which is a shame because it is by far the most stable bike stand, especially the fully welded version ( their retail pack version is "flat pack" and screws together and not quite as sturdy. The "Superstand" works with 29x 2.5 but you need the Superstand Extreme for wider tyres and there is a 3rd model specifically for fat bikes.
The XLC is OK but lighter weight metal and not as sturdy as the Wilworx.
