Review: I would like to introduce you a motorcycle jeans.... yepp they're motorcycle but also great for eMTB rides in forest / downhill and for high-speed ride on city tarmac.
Its cotton made, 12 oz and its pretty good breathable. You can ride in this and you will not get sweat.
These trousers are one from cheapest model but in fact they're great, i am using them 10 years (one pair!) for riding on motorcycle and for MTB/cycling and they're still in good condition.
Its look pretty civil so you can wear this even to the work/office.
They have Kevlar on your back, knees and thigs so if you get crash on tarmac with 40-50km/h they will protect the skin. By the default they are equipped with removable knee protectors (no issues with cycling) and optional hips protector (but they're rather not super comfortable for cycling, althrough good for motorcycle).
