Mixing wheel sizes?

Is anyone mixing wheel sizes?
My bike is a 27.5plus and I'm running 2.8 minions and now tubeless. If I run the front tyre at 18-20 psi it's a smooth ride and grippy but it rolls so slow down hill. If I pump it up to 20-22 psi it rolls better but I'm sure it seams a bit sketchy. I'm thinking maybe a 29er front with a 2.3 minion but keep the rear 2.8, 27.5plus rear.

Or thinner tyre on your 27.5 but jack up the fork.........a 2.6 will lower the front end so to maintain geometry you might be able to increase the front travel.....might be considerably cheaper to do that....

Just swapped my 2.8’s for 2.6’s and it rides fine. May of dropped the bike 5-8mm overall, if numbers concern you. But for me it rides fine and I don’t notice it.
I might change back to a 2.8 up front at some stage, and keep a 2.6 on the rear.

I just ordered the Haibike flyon allmtn, and one of the reasons was the mixed wheels. I only have read about though, actually never tried.

I had a few rides one a Merida eOne-Sixty 800 before the snow came. I swapped the 27.5x2.8 for a 29x2.4 up front. With a 2.4" the front is lifted about 10mm. I had to drop the handlebar a bit to get enough weight over the front wheel. Haven't tried it at high speed trails yet, but the 29er is nice on low speed technical trails, such as this
