M20 on its way….

I have an M20 coming next week and I cannot wait! I had really bad luck in 7 months of owning a focus Jam2 and I finally gave up on it so it’s going back to the shop and being swapped for the Rise.

I have a dilemma though. I had only just put Rockshox Domains on my focus and absolutely loved them! The M20 has Fox 34’s and I just don’t know what to do with regards to swapping them or not. There’s obviously a quality and a weight penalty but the thought of running 150mm with 38mm stanchions is very appealing to me.

i would really appreciate any advice from you guys.

cheers

38mm stanchions at 150mm seem like WAY overkill unless you are a big fella or ride hard enough to flex something in the 35 or 36mm range. That is unless you have the Domain just laying there unused, then why not.

I’m 6”5 and around 16st at the moment. I plan to lose a stone in a month or so though…

the domains will literally be lying around doing nothing as of next week…

That weight penalty on the domains is a no go for me . and they are budget forks . for me, sell the domains and 34s and get a pair of fox 36 .

Budget but with the ability to be upgraded with Zeb internals.

it’s only the weight that’s the issue for me.

M20 here, I had to toss my 34’s immediately. Coming from a bigger full fat with 180lyrik was really plush, the fox 34 on the rise felt way too flexy and unstable through the steep chunky stuff. Upgraded to a fox 36 160. Much better..

Damn that's cheap, that's basically what an H30 costs on Jenson. Too bad I can't find a medium.
Sigma sports has the light green in XL for £4999 at the moment. I’ve had to send my focus back because of issues and the shop price matched sigma on the Orbea.

I have a code that would take another £500 off that £4999 . They have the XL in M20 white and green.
Gutted! That would be amazing but it’s all done! The shop where my bike had to go back to priced matched sigma. I was pretty happy with that deal tbh

So you think a 38 domain with a zeb internals would be a good shout?
