LSB VS Online warranty

Hello!

I know this is a question that will be answered in a black or white mode but :

a) e-bikes are very expensive and in LSB is close to impossible to buy at discounted price where I live;
b) Some of the bikes I like do not have reseller in the country where I live;

How do you think will work the warranty for the electrical part if I will ever need to check on Bosch/Shimano/Whatever brand? Do you have any experience to share having repairs handled with first contact with brands online?

I just met someone who had numerous problem with his ebike which is Bulls bike. No local dealer and he had to wait months for the warranty. He said they took care of him but the downtime so long he wants to sell the bike and get something from local shop.
