I did a ride last Saturday on my 2018 Levo that i thought might be a bit of a challenge for one battery. So i carried a spare battery from a 2017 model.
Had a slight issue that i hadn't foreseen .
When i fitted the 2017 battery the remote switch wouldn't 'talk' to the battery.
So i couldn't switch modes via the handle bar remote
I could manually switch via the battery and when i got back home i checked that the Garmin bar remote would work with the 17 battery in the 18 bike and it did .
BLEvo and mission control found both batteries
But for some reason the handle bar remote on the 18 bike would not operate when the 17 battery was fitted
Any ideas ?
Maybe software compatibility ?
Muppetry ?

The 2017 battery just need a firmware upgrade and you will be all good.
