All of this may be old hat to many of you but maybe helpful to some!

Flow App:
I just bought a second Bosch Smart System bike, meaning I have 2. I tried pairing Flow to the new bike without success but it meanwhile connects straightaway with the other bike. I found I had to delete the app from my phone and delete the blutooth pairing for the first bike on my phone...then reload the App. I was then able to pair to the new bike straight away. So it seems the only way to be a ble to use Flow on 2 Smart System bikes is with 2 smartphones!! I suppose it makes sense since the only log in is to the flow app rather than to each bike.

SRAM transmission:
The new bike has SRAM Transmission ( GX T Type). Fortunately I do not have to set it up since all of that is done. Unlike the Fow app the AXS app does allow control on more than one bike so connecting that was no issue.
I learnt one thing from a LOVE MTB video that does not seem to feature in SRAMs copious instructions. Apparently when removing, then replacing the rear wheel, the thru axle should not be fullly tightened until you release the mech from the lock position. The SRAM instructions do saay that tightening the thru axle to the specified torque is important........but like most bikes my thru axle is a lever type so no way to use a torque wrench on that!!

I also like to take a spare chain with me on long rides, ready cut to size with a powerlock. It is far easier to just replace a broken chain with the spare one than try repairing it with a chain splitter and one or more powerlocks/links. So knowing the chain length is one issue to be a ble to do that.........easy enough I guess counting the links on the fitted chain. Then will my existing chain splitter work with a flat top chain?? Mine is a KMC.......I put the spare chain in it to see if it would work........looks OK. Lastly it seems I may need the Park Tool CC4 chain wear checker to accurately check for wear??

On some of those you can remove the lever from the thru axle by simply pulling it out. Then you have a standard hex (6mm) opening for your torque wrench.

The DT Swiss axle and the one coming on Scott bikes are quite common.
