Hi
I’m part of the 5ft 10” club (30” short leg) and eyeing up the 2023 Orbea Wild.
I’ve been looking at the reach and effective top tube lengths for seated comfort on long pedalling trails and standing control On descents.
I’m comparing the geometry numbers to my current bike, which sits somewhere in the middle of the Medium Wild and Large Wild.
I’ve a feeling I’ll be swapping the stem out which ever size I get to get it closer to where I’d like it. Off the shelf, the Medium comes with a 40mm stem but the ETT is a bit more cramped than I’m used to (due to the steeper seat tube). The Large has a 50mm stem but I feel a bit stretched out.
So would you get the medium and up the stem to 50mm or would you buy the large and reduce the stem to 35mm?
