I was out riding today with my wife, and her Rail 9 started acting up by switching off as she was riding. We stoped and the Kiox informed us that it’s internal battery was flat. Halfway through a 26k blue track with no other way out, so we were a bit worried.
When I removed the Kiox to see if I could see a way around the battery problem, the two Niobium magnets that hold the Kiox in place came out attached to the back of the display. It looked like the glue that holds them in the base had failed and therefore the display wasn’t being held in place properly.
Guessing that this might be related to the cutting out problem I put them back in and then held the display in place with duct tape. Problem solved and we continued on with no more problems. Off to the LBS for a warranty fix this week.
Hope this helps out anybody else who might have this happen.
