Kervelo have only just started producing their Quartz gearbox drives and now have a lighter and more compact model, the Kernel.

I think you may have misunderstood - the Quartz is a mid drive motor and gearbox, but the Kernel pictured is just a 12 speed gearbox for analog MTBs (their website is pretty atrocious though with missing pages and ambiguous words all over the place can see why you made this error!). From here...
