So, two weeks in with my Specialized Kenevo Expert S4.

I tried a lot of other bikes before buying, the Kenevo just clicked, it fits my body perfectly.

I‘ve done about 100 miles on it already, mostly rough single trail, up and down and up and down.

I am very happy - BUT… the suspension setting.

- going over roots I feel like there is a ‚dead way‘ in the front suspension before this satisfying ‚oooshhh‘ sound sets in. In that ‚dead area‘, I guess the smaller bumbs, the front and the rear seem to rather bounce than the suspension following the terrain.

- On bigger impacts, drop of a Meter into not to steep landing, I bottom out in the rear. The front uses almost all the way, 90%, so that‘s fine.
Also on jumps.

Can‘t seem to find the right settings and have been trying all sorts of stuff.

Currently I run

On the Boxxer:
22% SAG
12 click
3 Comp

on the RS super Delixe Select Plus:
30% SAG
-2 clicks from middle position

Butcher stock tires front/rear: 1,7/1.8 bar, roughly 24psi and 26 psi.

I haven‘t messed with tokens and volume spacers yet, but assume to get one or two more tokens in front to go for lower pressure and plusher small pump suspension whilst increasing progression. Same for the rear.
Also thinking about getting the Charger 2.1 upgrade.

I am 5‘11/181cm with an inseam of 85 cm, weighing 74 kg including gear.

Dear forum - I’d appreciate you sharing your height/weight and setting that made the Kenevo work for you. Maybe also share what terrain you ride.
If somebody has an opinion about token/volume spacer usage or the charger upgrade 2.1, I would love to hear about your experience. :)

Last week I reinstalled the forks with the Lyric upgrade kit.) I couldn’t get the 30% sag unless I reduced the psi (30% is recommended for my Rail). I also played around with the rebound until it felt just right(can’t remember the number of clicks). Trial and error after a few rides. I haven’t added any volume spacers yet but I thought I’d try it out first.
165lbs rider here with 160mm Yari forks (upgraded to the Lyric kit, 2.1 charger?). I’m probably not as an aggressive rider as you but our terrain is very rooty and rocky. The initial feedback through my grips/bar was horrible until I reduced the psi. I guess I’ll adjust everything until I find that sweet spot.
I reduced the psi on the shock too after it was serviced.
YouTube helped.

I initially liked the boxxer dual crown fork but shortly realized after a couple weeks that it is just that good after all. I was always bottoming out on everything and when jumping it would not give me enough pre load energy. I believe the boxxer would be good if you upgraded the damper to have high and low speed compression tuning. I change my boxxer out for a 29 zeb ultimate and this bike is amazing compared to it being stock. I also upgraded my rockshox super deluxe rear to a megneg setup. Before I was constantly bottoming out the air can and not getting the support I needed. With the megneg I don’t blow through travel. I am 170lbs at 5’7”. I typically ride steep downhill/enduro tech and jumps.

Seems like MegNeg is the way to go!
Thank you for sharing and congrats on getting your bike dialed! 💪

The RC damper in the boxxer is complete garbage. When I got the bike the fork felt soo much better than the shock, so I swapped to an x2 air and it made the fork feel terrible. Then I dropped in an avalanche damper for the Boxxer and it transformed it into the best fork I've ever ridden. Now the X2 out gunned. :)
