Anyone tried to change the bearings on this hub? What a garbage design.
The cassette side bearing is behind the toothed ring the freehub pawls drive, so it needs to be unscrewed from the hub before you can access the bearing. This is something thats had months/years of drive + epower tightening it into the hub.
The bearing wont come through it by literally the thickness of a piece of paper.
The 3 shops ive spoke to so far have refused the job as they say its so difficult.
Luckily its a spare wheel so Im not out of action, just annoyed how someone thought this was a good idea when they designed it.

Just changed the bearings on my DT Swiss 370 rear hub. It uses a different (much cheaper) tool but same terrible design. The vice method that's described in the official DT Swiss wasn't working and I was worried about destroying the wheel. Consulted a few mates and came up with the method shown in the photos attached. The box section is bolted to the disc flange on the hub.

Good result. You got a link to the tool you bought as I was advised the 60quid one was what's required.
