Awesome place to ride. Thanks for all the comments on the photos! I was finally able to get out and do some more riding in the Sun Valley Idaho area after going over the bars and breaking 2 ribs. My pedal got tangled up in some barbwire, and after I hit the ground, the Kenevo flipped over and landed on my rib cage. Don’t let your e-bike land on you after a crash or you will find out how heavy they actually are!

Thanks for the sympathy, rib breaks are the worst! I sneezed a few times and almost passed out. Here is the bugger that got me. I was going 10-15 MPH, and the bike instantly stopped, launched me over, and then was released to later fall out of the sky on to my side. I was riding through an area with 6-7 foot tall ferns and didn’t see the wire.Awesome place to ride.
Bummer on the ribs, did a similar rib breaking with my Levo a few months back, stacking on a ladder drop, bloody heavy bikes

Yeah, some of my friends wondered if it was a booby trap, but it was just an ancient spool of very stiff wire buried in the ground. The crazy thing is that it didn’t even wrap around the pedal, instead it wedged between the pedal and crank at a 45 degree angle and locked solid. That is all it takes. It blew up my sock too, ha ha.Well that would've been damn freaky. Reminds me of an old biker film called Stone, wire strung across a road at neck height, you can imagine the rest.
In the process of getting a few trails sanctioned in a nearby park, a few locals obviously aren't to enthusiastic and placing traps on blind corners, luckily they haven't thought of using barbed wire.
Wait... golfing?? That is some extreme golfing you're into man!Ouch !!!!!!! How long were you out of action after breaking your ribs ?? I'm currently in the same boat caused during a golfing weekend - dont ask !
Longmynd is also pretty in the Winter. I know what you mean about the weather. I skied it in December. https://photos.app.goo.gl/zbhB4qohsnp8Rg4F7Stunning view... British countryside at its best

Yes, I really wish I would have been wearing that! You'll have to let us know what you think once you try it out. I'm curious how comfortable that is in the heat and if you can roll it up tightly so that you can store it in a backpack for the uphill sections in hot weather.Thats why i have just ordered this...

I just have to say that it is so awesome that this forum is bringing in people from all over the entire planet to discuss one of the best things on the entire planet that you can spend your time doing: E-Biking! I love the different perspectives and comments about the trails and the wildlife.Awesome photos. That's a beautiful bike. Here in Kona Hawaii, there is absolutely nothing in the woods that can hurt you. We do have wild pigs but they are not aggressive at all, and just have a nasty habit of rooting around at night for insects and tossing big lava rocks onto the trails. Very fortunate that way since I ride alone most of the time.
Great advise! Unfortunately, my new wheel came with 1.6mm spokes (stock is 2.0mm) so I’ll be sending it back. Riding with the wife’s Levo wheel for now. Here is a pic from today’s ride on a local trail called Sterling Justice.Yes, great pics from a beautiful part of the country, Church. Keep 'em coming.
I definitely need to get up that way.
Not sure what new rear wheel Specialized is providing as a warranty replacement, but you could certainly do a lot better than the OEM one that comes on the Kenevo. The front may last, but the rear takes a lot of abuse on a long travel ebike. I'd recommend building a stronger rear wheel with a better quality hub. It's especially important if you ride in remote areas where limping back to camp could be challenging.
OMG - SICK! looks so nice there! Epic photos (and dirt)! These were taken in the Lake Creek area of Copper Basin Idaho. I had a great time, but it was a bit spooky riding alone in the wilderness. My friend with a Levo couldn't get the day off, sadly.

Just had 2 days riding in it and to answer your question, yes, you can get it into a 12 litre backpack. It is comfy and once you have it on, you will forget about it. It was around 18c, 64 f and sunny. I don't like the heat, so wouldn't be able to wear it above 20 max. But below that, it's fine.Yes, I really wish I would have been wearing that! Great photos. I really enjoy these. I agree it's cool to see all the Levo / Kenevo fans here.Made it out again today for some e-bike adventures! Once again I was riding alone since all my e-bike friends had to work today. The air was clear since most of the fires have been put out and I had the entire area all to myself. It was a great day!
