That's encouraging. I've got a Yamaha in my Haibike and can't fault it. Only 370 miles or so but still feels brand new, as I would have expected. Having spent my life on motorbikes I was automatically drawn to it over the Bosch and Shimano etc. assuming that they'd have more experience in that field.
Nothing other than gut instinct and a wee nudge in that direction from the owner of the lbs it came from.

Agree too. Dare I say I think I find the Yam feels slightly more natural than the Mahle in my SL (or maybe I’m just more used to it).

The Yamaha in my Haibike Hardseven is still going strong after 5 faultless years lugging some heavy loads (including me :) ). In everything except ultimate power, I prefer it to the TQ motor in my Alltrail.

When I rode several e-bikes motors a month ago or so in same day I also found the yamaha to be one of my top pick. Very smooth and natural. I liked it a lot.

Kudos to yamaha!

I just bought a Haibike Full Fat 6 10.0 and really liking the Yamaha. My 2019 Bulls Monster e fs (2300 miles)with Bosch CX motor is waiting for a new motor, after 3 weeks I went out an bought the Haibike; a good choice because now going into 9th week waiting on Bosch for replacement.
So yea, liking the Yamaha, seems to just keep bringing on the power when you need it ans no idler sprocket. The bike rides way better without power too, the Bosch was a nightmare to ride home if the battery ran dry.
I would not recommend the Bosch at this point, I realize we are in the middle of Covid but everyone else in the biking world seems to be coping sort of fine and besides the Yamaha has a 3 year warranty.
Into 3 months now, no motor in site been calling Bosch USA and Bulls. BTY, love the Bulls Monster even if it has a Bosch. Don't get me wrong the Bosch CX performed really nice, until it failed; bearing issues.
