So I am in the process of buying an EMtb. Slightly nervous as 5k is a big sum, so I'm just asking for any final advice.
The bikes in looking at are the vitus esommet 297 vrx(I have confirmation that I can get this s serviced at a good bike shop) and yt decoy 29 base 3(live near the distribution centre).

(Specialized turbo levo comp, nukeproof megawatt 297 elite and orbea rise m20 are all also on the table)

They're all good bikes on your list, but the Rise is not a full power emtb so be aware of that
I'd go with whatever you like the look and in budget, it is better to buy local from a good dealer as these things can go wrong and not everything can be fixed by a home mechanic like a regular bike.
There are some cracking deals around on 2022 bikes at the moment so I'd find a good deal online and see if your local bike shop can get anywhere near it

Any good bike shop should service any bike, it's when it comes down to warranty issues there is a problem (in my experience). I have had several warranty issues with my Rise, so I would advise buy a brand from a local franchised supplier.
Also, not all brands have the same level of commitment to warranty.

You have some very different bikes in your list. You need to think about what you want in the feel of the bike. Some are powerful assist that will zoom you up to the top of the climb. The Rise is designed to be more transparent. My friend calls it a tailwind. It helps retain the feel of mountain biking with a little help. I ride mine with the motor off on many parts of the trail.
It would be a really good idea to demo ride them if you can.

Buy the one YOU think looks the best. The one that’ll still make you stare in disbelief that it’s actually yours 👍😂
The one that you won’t get bored of in a few years time 👍
When I bought my 19’ Levo base I was thinking £4K is sooooo much money….new Pike forks and a new 2.2 motor just fitted through warranty….feels like a bargain now 👍
I still just like looking at it 👍

Also….I strongly recommend buying ‘local’

Around here, dealers are practically giving them away. I was REALLY tempted, but like you said, 5k is a lot of cash, and I don't need a new bike just yet.
Same here I think there is one for around 5k but I would probably end up spending 1k just upgrading it because I really dislike the stock kit😂 and I ride hard so once I'm fully back I want to be able to not have to pussyfoot around

Yeah I test rode the yt , spesh, and orbea last week. And whilst I did quite enjoy the rise I was really put off by the shop I would be relying on and also the stock spec.
The yt was the one I liked the most half cos the centre was fantastic and felt like they actually knew what they were talking about and half cos the bike just put the biggest grin on my face

I have to say the vitus is drawing me in quite a bit based on that😂

from these two, I would choose the vitus. I don't like the swing arm design and shock position they used on that decoy. The vitus has more common sense on frame and suspension design. Enjoy your choice!
